Founded in 1995, International Economic & Technical Cooperation and Exchange Center(INTCE) is a non-profit public institution affiliated to Ministry of Water Resources(MWR) of China, and is committed to a think tank for international water cooperation. INTCE has been undertaking international water cooperation and exchanges in such areas as bilateral and multilateral cooperation, transboundary river management and research, human resources training under the Belt and Road Initiative, international projects implementation and management, policy study, water standards internationalization, and international communication.
In November 2018, funded by Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund project, INTCE organized the first Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation Forum with other institutions, building a platform of water resources cooperation and exchange covering the six Lancang-Mekong countries. In 2019, INTCE participated in organizing the first Ministerial Meeting of Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation. Supported by Chinese National Key Scientific and Development Program and Asian Regional Cooperation Special Fund, INTCE has conducted extensive researches to provide policy support for deepening Lancang-Mekong water resources cooperation.
