This book takes the entire Lancang-Mekong River basin as the research object, systematically introduces the natural and socio-economic characteristics of the basin, analyzes the historical drought characteristics and typical drought events, focuses on the future, and uses the data from the CMIP6 and hydrological modeling methods to reveal the future trends and characteristics of climate change, meteorological drought, hydrological drought, and agricultural drought in the basin. From the perspective of the entire basin and countries within the basin, adaptive measures are proposed. This book can provide useful references for those who are concerned about the water safety of the Lancang-Mekong River both domestically and internationally.
